Jaedon - Christmas 2008 2008 was a very busy year for Jaedon. Just after returning home from a visit to his Alaskan grandparents in January, Jaedon got a new puppy, Abbie. She is a purebred Boxer. Abbie and Jaedon are best friends and play together every day.

There were several min-trips this year also. This summer, we took family trips to Still Waters Resort and Silver Dollar City in Southern Missouri, then to Iowa for the 4th of July, then to Indiana to see Jaedon's Papa who was performing two weddings for family members, then to Still Waters Resort and Silver Dollar City again.

This year Jaedon also started preschool in the fall. After a rough couple of weeks in the beginning, he is doing great and learning so much every day. He can recite the entire alphabet now and count to 10 on his own and almost to 20 with a little help. He is learning to differenciate between the lower numbers for basic math, too. (can tell you if you have 1 or 2 or 3 cookies, etc.)

 

Family News

Jaedon on his tractor Jaedon LOVES riding on the big John Deere tractor with his daddy when Kevin is mowing the lawn and he is getting too big for his electric quad four-wheeler. So, for Christmas this year, Santa brought Jaedon a BIG surprise. His very own John Deere! This was the absolute hit of Christams. Jaedon asks to ride his tractor every single day. If only they made snow plow blades to fit his tractor!

Jaedon's grandparents in Alaska (Stacia's parents), Grammy & Papa, are coming down in early 2009 to visit him. He is looking forward to showing them his tractor.

Abbie is getting much bigger also. When Jaedon first held her, she was 5 pounds and 5 ounces. Now she is a lean 40 pounds and wrestles around with Jaedon like she were actually another toddler.

Since Jaedon had his tubes put in November 2007, his vocabulary is so large now we couldn't even begin to count! He adds new words every day and has been talking in complete sentences since soon after the surgery. It is amazing how smart this little bundle of joy is!
